The National Pharmaceutical Control Bureau (NPCB), in collaboration with the MPS, shall be organising a training for community pharmacists on Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) Reporting. This training will be conducted by drug safety officers from the National ADR Monitoring Centre, NPCB.
This training will provide an overview of the pharmacovigilance system in Malaysia, the importance of reporting ADR, methods/channels of reporting and the assessment of the ADR reports in terms of analysis and causality. This training will be beneficial for the community pharmacists in the hope to increase the quantity as well as the quality of ADR reports.
CPD points will be awarded for this training. In addition, beginning 2016, ADR reports submitted to the NPCB which fulfil the minimum criteria will be eligible for CPD points.
