Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society Wants Pharmacists
To Become Antibiotic Guardians
KUALA LUMPUR, March 1 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society (MPS) has started a pledge to encourage all pharmacists to become Antibiotic Guardians in response to the antimicrobial resistance (AMR) crisis.
In a statement by MPS today, its President, Tuan Amrahi Buang said they initiated the pledge as a follow up to their commitment towards addressing and fighting AMR which MPS take very seriously.
"This pledge is complementary to our initial campaign 'Antibiotics, with prescription only' that was rolled out in November last year to pharmacists nationwide, and the pledge encourages them to become Antibiotic Guardian by dispensing based on prescription only," he said..... [ read more ]
